The artist has handed over the full amount of his £25k honor cash to the trust for venues, which works to preserve the United Kingdom's grassroots music venues.
The star was presented with the prize on mid-October as his third album the album was declared the best record of the previous year.
Fender has chosen to hand the money over to the Music Venues Trust, in recognition of the vital role local spots fulfilled in his initial steps.
"I personally wouldn't be doing my current career if it hadn't been for all the shows I performed around the region, and further afield, when I was starting out," stated Sam Fender. "These spaces are legendary, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, over 150 of these spaces have permanently closed – approximately 16% of the whole industry in the UK.
In the last year, well-known musicians such as the band Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the MVT in its efforts to keep the scene afloat, by applying a small levy to their admission fees, which benefits smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also took part, raising over £100k on his recent tour to assist thirty-eight small stages across the UK.
These funds supported locations that were facing imminent closure due to issues arising from flooding, fires and bereavements, as well as licensing issues, court cases and neighbor objections.
Other venues received monetary aid in improving infrastructure and gear that directly benefitted artists and concertgoers.
"The concept that revenue from performances in large arenas helps the smaller venues, where it kicks off for musicians like me, is just sensible," the star has commented.
The musician is among several artists to donate his honor funds to worthy causes.
When Pulp received the award in the mid-90s for their release Different Class, lead singer Cocker stated that the act would contribute their cash to the non-profit War Child.
In 2002, artist she divided her award across a few good causes, including the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell charity.
"And I donated a £1,000 to my local community centre, to their classes, because I trained in gymnastics when I was growing up and they needed updated gear," Ms Dynamite explained to a publication.
Two years ago, Ezra Collective gave their funds to the youth organization that developed their act, in addition to other local music groups.
And 1994 winners they contributed their award to a charity for MS after a close contact was identified with the disease.
"Winning was quite enough," said artist the singer. "The cash was the bonus but we didn't need the cherry, because we had the honor. So our victory affected the lives of others."
Recently, the trust revealed it had protected several small stages in that region, by bringing them into public stewardship.
One venue in Southampton and the other in the city were acquired under the public acquisition initiative, which is supported by a national body and enthusiasts who purchase "stakes" in the buildings.
